A pair of the much rarer yellow variation of the common Pygmy Seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti). This pair were found in a yellow sea fan (Muricella sp.) environment on the reef that surrounds Gato Island off of Cebu and Malapascua Island in the Philippines. In the sea fan next to this sea fan, the more typcial purple colored Pygmy Seahorses can be found.
This particular color variation is even more sought after by photographers, and are one of the hardest creatures to see being perfectly matched with their background, and being only 1cm (1/4 inch) in size or less.
