A large unidentified Lionfish (Pterois spp) sits on top of a coral reef head. Likley a very large speciman of Common Lionfish (Pterois volitans ), this fish was well over a foot in size. The markings on the fish are unusual however, and it may well be a totally different species.
Image taken at the Mainet Point dive site in Anilao, Mibini located in the Batangas region of The Philippines.
