(see this users gallery) A Western Clown Anemonefish (Amphiprion ocellaris) in his host anemone on a reef off the coast of Anilao in the Philippines.
This species of Clownfish is often called the False Clownfish as Amphiprion percula is normally considerd the 'true' Clownfish. It is sometimes impossible to tell these two species apart, and normally identification is based on location rather than visual identifiers.
Image taken on the shore dive at the Twin Rocks in front of the Planet Dive resort at Anilao, Mibini located in the Batangas region of The Philippines.
