Like other Polyceridae Nudibranch, Roboastra gracilis is carnivourous and hunts other opisthobranchs. The exaggerated oral tentacles are probably used to hunt their prey by following the mucus trail of other branchs.
The behavior displayed in this image is probably also a hunting technique.
