Long-Spined Sea Urchin (Diadema antillarum) near a coral reef head pn the Davis Reef system off the coast of Key Largo and Islamorada in Florida.
This species was devasted by an epidemic in 1983-1984 and is slowly making a comeback across the caribbean, although population counts in 2005 still indicate that the species has not yet made a full recovery.
