(see this users gallery) A mature adult Spotted Drum (Equetus punctatus) swims on a coral reef on Klein Island in Bonaire.
These beautiful fish are best known for their juvenile stage where their dorsal fin is long and distinctive. In this adult phase the long dorsal fin is now non existent, and the patterns are completely different to the other phases. The colors are also more muted.
