A colony of Colonial Hammer Coral (Euphyllia ancora) growing on a coral reef in the Banda Sea in Indonesia.
This coral species is known world wide as it is a favourite of aquarium owners despite being capable of producing stinging sweeper tentacles.This is due to this corals predictable growth pattern and ease of maintenance.
