A fabulously colored shallow fringing reef grows in front of an island in the Banda Sea, Indonesia. The right side of the reef falls off into a reef wall that extends down several hundred feet to the ocean floor.
These shallow reefs are common around a lot of Banda Sea islands and the huge amount of healthy hard corals are becoming harder to find anywhere in the world.
