(see this users gallery) Commonly known as the Blue Dragon Nudibranch (Pteraeolidia ianthina), this species is one of the prettiest nudibranchs found worldwide. It is believed that when in the juvenile phase, this species feeds on zooanthellae rich hydroids, which it then farms within its body using solar power.
If properly maintained, once it has a full farm it never needs to feed directly again but rather farms the zooxanthellae.
