This is believed to be a very, very small juvenile Lettuce Sea Slug (Elysia crispata) sitting on some local algae. This small sea slug was less than 1/4 inch in size.
Elysia, although looking like nudibranchs are technically sap-sucking sea slugs and fall under a different, though related family group of mollusks. They lack the external gills of nudibranchs and have present an internal shell which is extremely small in this particular species.
This image was taken at night in the Molasses Coral Reef system in Key Largo, Florida.
