A Goldentail Moray Eel (Gymnothorax milaris) comes out from a crack in a coral reef near some reef algae at Molasses Reef off the coast of Key Largo in Florida, USA.
The open and closing of the mouth demonstrated by all moray species is not a threat despite its appearance. It is necessary for the respiration of the eel.
