(see this users gallery) An Intermediate Spotted Drum (Equetus punctatus) swims in figure eight patterns on a coral reef in the West End, Grand Bahamas.
These beautiful fish are best known for their juvenile stage where their dorsal fin is long and distinctive. In this intermediate phase the long dorsal is still present which will be lost when it enters into it's adult phase.
