A Whitetip Reef Shark ((Triaenodon obesus)) swims under a large hard coral where a group of these sharks are piled on top of each other.
These groups of sharks are fairly common, especially around mating season.
These sharks are not dangerous unless severely provoked and cornered. They are common across southern tropical waters and are the most commonly shark seen by scuba divers.
