A purple Egg or Allied Cowry (Prosimnia semperi) living on a coral. One of the best examples of marine camouflage, this species is almost indistinguishable from its coral habitat, especially when the coral has its polyps extended.
Image taken at night on a coral reef on the northern section of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia.
