(see this users gallery) A Marbled Snake Eel (Callechelys marmorata) buried in the sand off the island of Mabul in Sabah, Malaysia. The sand billowing up is from the gills of the eel as it completes its breathing cycle.
These eels live under the sand and loose rocks in shallow waters, and it is very rare to see anymore of the eel than what is pictured here.
