The face of a Longnose Hawkfish (Oxycirrhites typus) found within its normal habitat of a giant sea fan. This fish is sought after highly by photographers.
It is known to be predator of smaller fish, possibly including pygmy seahorses which are also found on these types of sea fans.
This specimen was photographed on the Tulamben Slopes dive site in Tulamben Bay in Bali, Indonesia. This dive site is considered one of the premier muck diving shore dives in the world.
