Under a large hard coral, a group of Whitetip Reef Sharks (Triaenodon obesus) are piled up. These groups of sharks are fairly common, especially around mating season.
These sharks are not dangerous unless severely provoked and cornered. They are common across southern tropical waters and are the most commonly shark seen by scuba divers.
