A Fluted Giant Clam (Tridacna squamosa) sits in amongst several corals on the ocean floor on the Wheeler Reef system in the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Townsville in Queensland, Australia.
The species can grow up to 400mm in size and has large rows of leaf like flutes on the surface of the shell.
