A Thorny Seahorse (Hippocampus hystrix) in amongst the rocks and sand on the ocean floor during a muck dive at the Barura shore dive site in Anilao in the Batangas area of The Philippines. This sea horse is common in this area, though rare in the region. The color patternation is also common locally.
With a thick, rich mud like environment, Basura is rich with unusual marine life such as this species.
