The very brightly colored juvenile Yellowtail Coris (Coris gaimard) swims over the coral reef on the Basura shore dive site in Anilao in the Batangas region of The Philippines.
The difference between the adult coloration and the juvenile is very striking. This red juvenile coloration, often tinged in blue, is also complemented by five black edged white saddles across the head and back of the fish.
