An unidentified Douglas DC-3 flying over the ocean near the town of Port St Johns in South Africa. This plane looks to have had a Turbo Prop conversion, which is common to a lot of DC3's in South Africa and was often done to extend it's useful life.
Information on the exact identity of this aircraft would be appreciated.
Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest aircraft ever built, over 10,000 DC-3's were built and they were used for every purpose imaginable.
In a testament to it's greatness, after 70 years over 1000 of these aircraft are still operational, many still in commercial operations.
