A pair of Tritonia hamnerorum nudibranchs moves across a Common Sea Fan (Gorgonia ventalina) at the Aligator Reef dive site off the coast of Key Largo / Tavernier in Florida, USA.
This relatively small tritoniid feeds exclusively on gorgonian sea fans and is sometimes found in large numbers. The nudibranch removes distasteful chemicals from the sea fans and stores them for its own defence.
