A Sponge Brittle Star (Ophiothrix suensonii) on a Branching Fire Coral (Millepora alcicornis) sitting on a coral reef head t the Aligator Reef dive site off the coast of Key Largo / Tavernier in Florida, USA.
The Star is not effected by the stinging of the fire coral which can cause a sharp pain on exposed skin along with a nasty, red, itchy rash.
