The unfortunate sight of a large Green Moray Eel ([/i]Gymnothorax funebris[/i]) with a large hook in its mouth with a length of monofilament fishing line attached. This fishing line had twisted around a set of coral and this moray was trapped.
While these images were taken, friends diving with me took a pair of dive shears and freed the eel from the line. We were unable to remove the hook unfortuently.
