A set of closed coral polyps in a large colony of Great Star Coral (Montastraea cavernoda) on the Aligator Reef dive site off the coast of Key Largo / Tavernier in Florida, USA.
This is the most common type of coral found below 40' of depth in the caribbean and is common is south Florida.
