A brown colored Giant Barrel Sponge (Xestospongia muta) along with a Common Sea Fan, various other sponges and the odd fish in a caribbean coral reef scene on the Breakers Reef system off the coast of West Palm Beach in Florida, USA.
There has been a large reduction in the number of Giant Barrel Sponges in Florida in the past few years with most of the large specimans disappearing.
