Photographer: Paul Osmond
(see this users gallery) A group of Yellow Jacks (Caranx bartholomaei) harry a Goldentail Moray Eel (Gymnothorax miliaris) on the coral reef ledge at the Boynton Ledges dive site off the coast of Boynton Beach in Florida.
While it was unclear whether this was an all out attack on the eel, the Jacks were clearly grouping up and attacking the eel on all sides and persisted despite the photographers presence although with considerable caution. Eventually the jacks moved away and the eel moved off to safety.
