This is a juvenile Tropical Sea Cucumber (Bohadschia graeffei) perched on a coral reef head which is part of the coral reef surrounding Phi Phi Island off the coast of Phuket, Thailand in the Andaman Sea.
In the juvenile stage this Sea Cucumber possesses this distinctive coloration which mimics species of nudibranch (specicially Phyllidia coelestis and Phyllidia varicosa) to discourage predators. As they gain in size it alters its coloration as the mimicry is no longer an effective defensive tactic.
