(see this users gallery) This Biturong or Bearcat is lead by a trainer in a theme park show at the Parrot Jungle Island theme park/zoological garden in Miami, Florida.
A native creature to various areas of Southeast Asia, inlcuding Malaysia and Philippines, the Binturong (Arctictis binturong) is a rather unique looking creature with many characteristics of a variety of other animals - especially carnivores, however it is omnivorous and particularly fond of various fruits.
The word binturong is of Malaysian origin, but the animal is commonly called "bearcat" in English, never mind the fact that it is neither a bear nor a cat, but from an older lineage than either.
They have a scent like buttered popcorn, which is created by scent glands used to mark their territory.
