One of a pair of statues that sit either side of a path that leads down to the swimming pool located on the site of the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum in Faulconbridge, New South Wales, Australia.
Lindsay was influenced by Greek and Roman art as can be seen in this statue of a half cat / half woman.
A great Australian art figure, Norman Lindsay (1879 - 1969) lived in this stone cottage for most of his long life. The cottage is presented as the showplace of a major collection of Lindsay's work including watercolours, sculptures, ship models, novels and an exhibition of models from his classic children's book The Magic Pudding.
