(see this users gallery) This is likely a speciman of a small Poss's Scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis possi) resting on a section or hard corals on a coral reef pinnacle.
Image taken on the Monique Bommie dive site which is part of the Great Deatched Reef system in far north Queensland in Australia.A bommie is basically a sea mound or sea pinnacle.
Detached Reef's in this remote area are named as they are near - but not directly attached to the Great Barrier Reef system.
