A lone Bumphead Parrotfish (Bulbometopon muricatum) moves rapidly across the coral reef at Raine Island in far north Queensland. This fish is part of a much larger school of 50-60 large Bumphead Parrotfish that patrol across the top of this reef.
Bumpheads are known from very few places in the world, with several known schools in this area of Australia.
Raine Island is famous for the presence of a huge nesting population of Green Turtles, but also is home to a variety of other marine species.
