A very large Giant Giant Clam (Tridacna gigas) at well over a metre in size lies on a coral reef on a gentle ocean slope.
Image taken at night on the Perisher Blue dive site which is part of the Greater Deatched Reef system in far north Queensland in Australia.
Detached Reef's in the area are named as they are near - but not part of - the Great Barrier Reef system.
