A Lyretail Hawkfish (Cyprinocirrhites polyactis) rests on some rocks on a shallow coral reef. This species is unlike other hawkfish in that it feed in mid-water on plankton instead of feeding on the ocean floor.
Especially noticable is the forked tail margined in yellow.
Image taken at night on the Twin Rocks shore dive in front of the Planet Dive Resort in Anilao in the Batangas region of The Philippines.
