At night, most eels come out to feed, such as this Moustache Conger Eel (Conger cinereus) who was free swimming across the ocean floor over a shallow coral reef. The moustache refers to the blue streak that can clearly be seen below the eye and above the upper jawline.
This individual was seen during a night dive on the "Twin Rocks" shore dive in front of the Planet Dive resort in Anilao in the Batangas region of The Philippines.
