A small and very unusual Red Abalone (Haliotis clathrata) moves across a shallow coral reef.
Abalones belong to the family of Archaeogastropoda which is considered an archaic gastropod snail group with some primiative attributes.
Image taken during a night dive on the House Reef in front of the SeaQuest Dive Center site in Moalboal in the province of Cebu, The Philippines.
